Land Use Planning

Land use planning is the term given to public policy that directs how the parcels of property in a community are utilized. The goal is to balance the needs of the people who live in an area with the needs of the environment. Good land use planning engages citizens and policy-makers to plan for development with intention, foresight, and community focus.
